Savannah, the county seat, is home to the Andrew County Courthouse, on the National Register since 1980, and to a North Central Missouri College satellite campus. Business 71 runs through town, with the One Hundred and Two River to the east and Happy Hollar Lake Conservation Area to the north-east.

Amazonia was laid out in 1857 near the site of Nodaway City, an early river port, and once stood on the Missouri River; today it is inland. No one is sure where the name came from. It lies north of St. Joseph and south-west of Savannah, and the Savannah R-III district runs Amazonia Elementary.
Fillmore began as Newark and was laid out in 1845, then renamed for Millard Fillmore, the statesman who later became president; the post office has been open since 1851. The small city is in Jackson Township, north-west of Savannah and east of Oregon, and its students attend North Andrew County R-VI schools. Founded in 1868 as St. John, Bolckow was renamed for a Platte County Railroad official named Bolckow, and the name was sometimes spelled Bolkow. A post office has served it since 1869. It sits in Benton Township between Savannah to the south and Maryville to the north.
Rosendale stands on the east bank of the One Hundred and Two River and is named for the wild roses that once grew around the town site; its post office opened in 1869. The North Andrew County R-VI district, which also serves Rea, Fillmore and Bolckow, is based here. Rosendale is north of Savannah, and with the river on its west side, a car that leaves the road there may be sitting on a wet bank rather than in a dry ditch.
Cosby was founded in the late 1870s and moved to a new town site in 1885 once the railroad reached it; it takes its name from Cosby Miller, the child of a first settler. The village lies south-east of Savannah and south-west of Union Star, in the Savannah R-III district. Avenue City Elementary has a Cosby mailing address but stands outside the village, so if your address says Cosby, tell dispatch whether you are in the village or out by the school.
Rea, pronounced 'ray', is a village in Platte Township named for Judge Joseph Rea, who owned the original town site. It was established in 1877 and has had a post office since 1888, and its J. F. Roberts Octagonal Barn was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1999. Rea lies north-east of Savannah and west of King City.
